I just read on Expresscrypto.io that Now on July 29, 2020, Cardano (ADA) Hardfork.
What is Hardfork?
Hardfork is a protocol change that causes older versions to become invalid. If the old version continues to operate, this old version will end up with a different protocol and with data that is different from the new version. This can cause significant confusion and errors that might occur.
Today hardfork is happening, the Byron's old protocol will migrate to Shelley's new protocol and it is hoped that there will be no disruption to the blockchain. After Shelley "Alive" on mainnet, it will introduce new features, such as Staking pool, rewads and delegation, which will make a new era of desebtralization in Cardano.
